Bitcoin casino KYC requirements stricter than traditional online casinos for US players
Been playing crypto casinos since 2018 and noticed something odd lately. Bitcoin casinos are asking for more documentation than traditional sites now.
Ignition Casino wants driver's license + utility bill + bank statement for BTC withdrawals over $2,500. Meanwhile, regular online casinos I've used only need license + utility bill for similar amounts.
Wild Casino requested proof of crypto source for my $1,800 Bitcoin withdrawal - had to show Coinbase purchase history going back 3 months. Never seen traditional casinos ask for source of funds documentation at that level.
Anyone else experiencing this? Seems backwards since crypto was supposed to be more private.
