Been thinking about how many of us actually verify the provably fair hash strings manually versus just trusting the casino's auto-verify button. I've been crypto-only since 2018 and started manually checking SHA-256 hashes after a sketchy session at a smaller site.

Wild Casino shows the client seed, server seed, and nonce clearly but their auto-verify just flashes green without showing the actual hash computation. Ignition Casino lets you export the full verification data as JSON which is nice for batch checking.

Anyone else doing manual verification? Takes about 30 seconds per spin with an online SHA-256 calculator but gives me peace of mind on bigger bets.

Never bothered with manual verification honestly. The auto-verify at BetOnline has been solid for my sessions and I figure if they're fudging the verification process, they could fudge the seeds too.

That said, your point about exporting data from Ignition Casino is interesting. Might start doing spot checks on my bigger sessions just to build confidence in the system.

I do random manual checks maybe once every 50 spins or so. Found a discrepancy at a smaller crypto casino last year where the auto-verify was showing valid but my manual SHA-256 hash didn't match their claimed result hash.

Turned out to be a bug in their verification display, not actual cheating, but it made me realize how important spot checking is. Super Slots has been rock solid on verification - their hash strings always check out when I verify manually.

The whole provably fair thing is one of the biggest advantages crypto casinos have over traditional ones. Even if I don't verify every single spin, knowing I could verify gives me way more confidence than playing slots at a brick and mortar where you just have to trust the gaming commission.

Cafe Casino makes it pretty easy to grab the verification data. I usually check a few spins after any big win or loss just to satisfy my paranoia.

Started doing this after reading about it here actually. The learning curve isn't bad - just need to understand how the client seed, server seed, and nonce combine to create the hash that determines the outcome.

What I like about BetWhale is they show you the exact formula they're using for the hash calculation right on the verification page. Makes it easier to double-check their math when you're learning the process.
