Bitcoin Lightning Network deposits instant but withdrawals still take 24-48 hours at crypto casinos

Been testing Lightning Network deposits across several crypto casinos and the experience is mixed. Deposits are genuinely instant - sent 0.1 BTC via Lightning to BetWhale and it showed up in under 30 seconds. Same story at Ignition and Wild Casino.

But here's the weird part: withdrawals still take the usual 24-48 hours even when requesting Lightning payouts. The casinos are processing them manually like regular Bitcoin transactions instead of using Lightning's instant settlement.

Anyone else notice this? Seems like they're only using Lightning for the deposit side to attract players but haven't fully implemented it for withdrawals.

Same experience here. Lightning deposits at Cafe Casino were instant but my 0.05 BTC Lightning withdrawal request still took 36 hours to process. When I asked support they said "Lightning withdrawals are processed during business hours only" which defeats the whole point.

Regular Bitcoin withdrawals and Lightning withdrawals seem to go through the same manual approval queue. Pretty disappointing since Lightning should be instant both ways.

The issue is most crypto casinos don't run their own Lightning nodes - they use third-party payment processors that batch Lightning transactions. So your Lightning withdrawal gets queued up with regular Bitcoin payouts.

Only VoltageBet seems to have true Lightning integration where withdrawals are actually instant. Tested it twice last month and both times got my sats in under 5 minutes. Higher fees though - they charge 0.001 BTC flat rate vs the usual percentage.

This is why I stick with traditional Bitcoin for larger amounts. Lightning is great for small deposits under $100 but for anything serious I want the security of on-chain transactions.

Plus Lightning has liquidity limits - tried to deposit 0.5 BTC via Lightning at Super Slots and it failed. Had to break it into three separate 0.15 BTC deposits. Not exactly seamless for high rollers.

The instant deposit thing is mostly marketing. Sure it's technically instant but you still have to wait for KYC verification before you can withdraw anyway. And most crypto casinos require 1x playthrough minimum even on Lightning deposits.

BetWhale has the best Lightning implementation I've seen - deposits under 0.1 BTC are instant and don't require additional verification. Withdrawals are still slow but at least the deposit experience is smooth.
