Bitcoin mempool cleared to 2 sat/vB but Wild Casino still charging 0.0008 BTC withdrawal fees

The Bitcoin mempool cleared out completely over the weekend - we're sitting at 2-3 sat/vB for next block confirmation. That's about $0.50 for a standard transaction.

But Wild Casino is still charging 0.0008 BTC ($52 at current prices) for withdrawals. I get that casinos batch transactions and need some buffer, but this seems excessive when the actual network cost is under a dollar.

Anyone else notice this discrepancy? Other bitcoin casinos adjusting their fees or are they all stuck at these inflated rates?

Same issue at BetOnline - they're charging 0.0007 BTC which is still around $45. I asked support about it and they said fees are "reviewed monthly" but didn't give a timeline.

Meanwhile I can send bitcoin from my wallet for literally $0.30. It's frustrating because the high fees eat into smaller wins significantly.

Ignition dropped their fee to 0.0005 BTC last week, so some casinos are paying attention. Still higher than network rates but better than 0.0008.

I think the issue is these places set their fees during the high-fee periods earlier this year and just leave them there. Takes customer complaints to get them moving.

Cafe Casino is the worst - still at 0.001 BTC ($65). I switched to Litecoin withdrawals there since their LTC fee is only 0.01 LTC which is about $0.75.

Not ideal having to convert but saves me $60+ per withdrawal. These fixed bitcoin fees made sense when network fees were crazy, but they should scale down when the mempool clears.

I've been tracking this across multiple brands. Super Slots actually adjusted down to 0.0004 BTC two weeks ago, and Slots.lv followed suit at 0.0005 BTC.

The casinos using older payment processors seem slower to adjust. Wild Casino and BetOnline are definitely lagging behind on fee updates compared to network conditions.

Thanks for the data points everyone. Sounds like the more responsive casinos are at least moving in the right direction, even if they're not matching actual network fees.

Might be worth reaching out to Wild Casino support about this since other brands are adjusting. The $50+ difference between their fee and network cost is hard to justify when competitors are doing better.
