Bitcoin withdrawal fees jumped to 0.0012 BTC at most crypto casinos during network congestion

Network got slammed yesterday with ordinals traffic and most crypto casinos immediately bumped their BTC withdrawal fees from 0.0008 to 0.0012 BTC. That's nearly $30 at current prices for what used to be $20.

Checked across my usual sites:

  • Ignition Casino: 0.0012 BTC
  • Wild Casino: 0.0012 BTC
  • BetWhale: Still 0.0008 BTC (surprised me)
  • Cafe Casino: 0.0015 BTC (highest I've seen)

Anyone else tracking how these sites handle fee spikes? Some seem to adjust in real-time while others stick to fixed rates longer.

BetOnline kept their fees at 0.0008 throughout the whole spike yesterday. Withdrew 0.5 BTC around 3 PM EST and it went through in about 6 hours. Not the fastest but the fee savings made it worth the wait.

Cafe Casino at 0.0015 is just greedy - that's $37 for a withdrawal when the actual network fee was maybe $25 tops.

This is exactly why I switched to LTC for smaller withdrawals. Even during network congestion, Litecoin fees stay under $0.50 and confirmations are way faster.

    My current strategy:

    • BTC for withdrawals over $1000 (fee percentage makes sense)
    • LTC for anything under $500
    • ETH only if the casino covers gas fees

Super Slots has been solid with their LTC processing - usually 2-3 hours max.

Noticed Slots.lv actually decreased their BTC fee to 0.0006 last week, right before this congestion hit. Now they're back up to 0.001 but still better than most.

What bugs me is how some sites don't communicate these changes. You only find out when you're trying to withdraw and see the updated fee structure.

Lucky Creek surprised me by keeping fees flat at 0.0008 BTC even during peak congestion. Withdrawal took longer (about 12 hours vs their usual 4-6) but they didn't pass the extra network costs to players.

Slots of Vegas went the opposite direction - bumped to 0.0014 BTC and still took 8 hours to process. That's the worst of both worlds.

Update: Network congestion cleared up this morning and most sites have dropped back down:

    • Ignition Casino: 0.0008 BTC (back to normal)
    • Wild Casino: 0.001 BTC (still elevated)
    • Cafe Casino: 0.0012 BTC (down from yesterday's peak)

Interesting to see which operators adjust quickly vs those who keep inflated fees longer. BetWhale never changed from 0.0008 - definitely earned some loyalty points there.
