Ethereum Classic ETC withdrawal minimum 500 ETC at Shazam Casino vs 10 ETC network standard

Hit a decent win at Shazam Casino playing their crypto slots and went to cash out in Ethereum Classic. Their withdrawal minimum is 500 ETC which is around $13,000 at current prices. The actual ETC network only requires about 10 ETC for most transactions.

This seems excessive compared to other cryptos they offer. Bitcoin minimum is 0.001 BTC ($43) and Litecoin is 1 LTC ($110). Why would they set ETC so high when it's a legitimate altcoin with decent liquidity?

Anyone else run into this? Wondering if other casinos have similar ETC policies or if Shazam is just being overly cautious with this particular coin.

That's wild high for ETC. I stick to Bitcoin for withdrawals but checked a few other places out of curiosity. BetOnline has ETC minimum at 50 ETC which is still high but not insane like 500.

Might be a liquidity thing on their end. ETC isn't as popular as ETH so maybe they don't want to deal with small transactions. Still doesn't make sense when you can move ETC around for pennies in gas fees.

I've seen this before with smaller altcoins. Casinos sometimes set high minimums when they're not sure about processing costs or if they're using a third-party payment processor that charges flat fees.

Wild Casino has reasonable ETC limits around 25 ETC last time I checked. You might want to consider switching if you prefer ETC withdrawals. The 500 ETC minimum basically locks out most players unless you're a serious high roller.

This is exactly why I converted my ETC to Bitcoin before trying to withdraw. Did the swap on a DEX and then withdrew BTC instead. Lost maybe $20 in swap fees but way better than being stuck with a $13k minimum.

Shazam probably figures most people will do exactly that - convert to a more popular crypto rather than complain about ETC limits.

Had the same issue three months ago. Contacted their support and they said it's due to "operational requirements" but wouldn't elaborate. The rep suggested using ETH or BTC instead.

Seems like they just don't want to deal with ETC withdrawals honestly. Their Ethereum minimum is only 0.1 ETH which is reasonable. Maybe they'll lower it if enough people complain, but I doubt it.

Thanks everyone. Ended up swapping to ETH like Mike suggested. Cost about $15 in DEX fees but got my money out same day.

Still think Shazam should be more transparent about why certain crypto minimums are so high. Wild Casino's 25 ETC limit makes way more sense for actual players rather than whales only.
