Ethereum gas fees hitting 120 gwei making small ETH deposits unprofitable at most brands

Gas fees just spiked to 120+ gwei and it's killing my usual ETH deposit strategy. Tried sending $75 to BetWhale yesterday and the network fee was $28 - completely insane.

Checked a few other brands and they're all using the same mainnet, so no escaping these fees. Wild Casino shows the same issue, Cafe Casino too. Even at 80 gwei last week I was paying $15-20 just to move $100.

Anyone finding workarounds? Thinking about switching to Polygon or Arbitrum deposits if any US-facing brands support L2 networks yet. The ETH ecosystem is pricing out smaller players completely.

Been saying this for months - ETH is dead for casino deposits unless you're moving serious money. I switched to Bitcoin Lightning at Ignition Casino and never looked back. Instant deposits, fees under a dollar even for $50 moves.

Sure, not every brand supports Lightning yet, but the ones that do make ETH look prehistoric. Why pay $20-30 in gas when BTC moves for pennies?

The L2 situation is frustrating. Checked with Super Slots support last month about Polygon deposits and they said "maybe in 2024" - classic non-answer.

Meanwhile I'm stuck using Litecoin for smaller amounts. Not ideal since I prefer holding ETH, but LTC moves for under $2 and most brands support it. Lucky Creek and Slots.lv both process LTC deposits within 10 minutes.

This is exactly why I keep a USDT stash on Tron network. TRC-20 USDT transfers cost like $1.50 max, and BetWhale accepts them instantly. Same with Voltage - their Tron USDT option saved me hundreds in fees this year.

ETH mainnet is only worth it for deposits over $500 now. Anything smaller gets eaten alive by gas costs.

The timing couldn't be worse with this gas spike. I had planned to split a $200 bankroll across three different welcome bonuses this weekend, but $25+ fees per deposit would eat my entire bonus value.

Tempted to just go with Bitcoin Cash at Black Lotus - their BCH deposits are usually confirmed in 20 minutes and network fees stay under $0.50 even during busy periods.

Thanks for the Tron USDT tip Mike - completely forgot about TRC-20 as an option. Just checked and BetWhale does list it, plus the fees are basically nothing compared to ERC-20.

Still hoping someone builds proper L2 support soon though. Arbitrum and Polygon have been stable for months now, no excuse for casinos not adopting them.
