Ethereum gas fees hitting 35 gwei making ETH deposits expensive at crypto casinos

Been Bitcoin-only since gas fees hit 25 gwei last month. No point paying $15 in fees to deposit $150 at Ignition Casino or anywhere else.

BTC confirmation times are solid right now - usually see deposits credited within 45 minutes across all the brands I use. ETH might be faster when it works, but these gas costs kill any advantage.

The 35 gwei spike caught me mid-deposit to Cafe Casino yesterday. Ended up paying $16.50 in gas for a $300 ETH deposit. Lesson learned.

Switched to Litecoin for my next session and paid maybe $0.30 in fees. LTC deposits hit most crypto casinos just as fast as ETH anyway. Sometimes being early adopter of new payment methods costs you.

Gas tracker shows 35 gwei is actually on the lower end of this week's range. Hit 48 gwei on Tuesday during that Bored Ape derivative launch.

For deposits under $500, I've been using USDT on Tron network at BetWhale and Voltage. TRX-based USDT deposits cost maybe $2 total and confirm in 3-5 minutes. Not as decentralized as ETH but practically speaking, it works.

This is exactly why I keep multiple crypto options funded. When ETH gas goes crazy, I switch to whatever's cheapest that day.

Lucky Tiger and Black Lotus both accept like 8 different cryptos. If ETH is expensive, try LTC or DOGE. If Bitcoin fees spike, use ETH. Having options prevents you from getting stuck with one expensive network.

Gas fees are cyclical - they'll drop back to 15-20 gwei once the NFT hype dies down.

Update: Gas dropped to 28 gwei this morning but still too rich for my blood on smaller deposits.

Tried USDT on Tron like Mike suggested at BetWhale - worked perfectly. $1.80 in fees total and confirmed in under 5 minutes. The interface clearly shows TRC-20 USDT as separate from ERC-20 USDT so no confusion.

Sticking with TRX-based stablecoins until ETH network calms down. Sometimes the newer tech isn't worth the premium.
