Litecoin LTC deposits showing 2.5 minute blocks but Cafe Casino requiring 12 confirmations

Been testing Litecoin deposits at various crypto casinos and noticed Cafe Casino requires 12 confirmations for LTC deposits to credit. With Litecoin's 2.5 minute block times, that's a 30 minute wait minimum.

Most other sites I've used require 3-6 confirmations for LTC. Ignition uses 6 confirmations (15 minutes), BetOnline uses 4 confirmations (10 minutes). Even Bitcoin sites typically need 3-6 confirms and BTC blocks are 10 minutes each.

Anyone know why Cafe Casino sets the LTC confirmation requirement so high? The network is stable and 51% attacks aren't a realistic concern with Litecoin's hashrate.

    I stick to Bitcoin for deposits but noticed similar patterns with other altcoins at Cafe Casino. They seem more conservative with confirmation requirements across the board.

    Might be their risk management policy - better safe than sorry approach. 30 minutes isn't terrible compared to some traditional banking methods, but I get the frustration when other crypto sites are faster.

    Just checked my Cafe Casino account and you're right about the 12 confirmations. I usually deposit with Bitcoin so never noticed.

    Super Slots only requires 6 LTC confirmations in my experience. Wild Casino was 4 confirmations last time I used Litecoin there. Cafe Casino definitely stands out as requiring more confirms than competitors.

    Risk vs speed tradeoff. Higher confirmation requirements mean lower chance of deposit reversals during network reorganizations. Cafe Casino probably analyzed their historical data and decided 12 confirms gives them the security margin they want.

    Litecoin's faster block times actually make this more reasonable than it sounds. 30 minutes for guaranteed finality isn't bad when you consider traditional wire transfers take days.

    I've had good luck with Litecoin at Lucky Creek - they only need 3 confirmations so deposits credit in under 8 minutes usually.

    Cafe Casino's 12 confirmation policy might be related to their bonus structure. Sites with aggressive bonus offers sometimes use higher confirmation requirements to prevent bonus abuse scenarios. Not saying that's definitely the case here, but it's a pattern I've noticed.

    30 minutes isn't unreasonable in the grand scheme, just feels slow when you're used to 6-confirmation sites. Might stick with Bitcoin there since I'm already waiting for confirms anyway.
