Monero XMR deposits working at BetWhale but withdrawal completely disabled for 3 weeks

Been tracking this for 21 days now - BetWhale still accepts Monero XMR deposits through their cashier but the withdrawal option vanished completely on November 2nd. Support keeps saying "temporary maintenance" but three weeks isn't temporary.

Deposited 2.4 XMR total, currently sitting on 3.1 XMR balance. They're forcing BTC withdrawals only, which means:

  • Converting XMR to BTC at their 2.8% spread
  • BTC network fees eating another $15-20
  • Privacy completely gone

Anyone else stuck with Monero balances there? This feels deliberately misleading since they're still advertising XMR deposits on the main page.

Same situation here but smaller amount - 0.8 XMR stuck since mid-November. Support told me yesterday it's a "wallet infrastructure upgrade" but wouldn't give any timeline. The conversion route they're pushing loses about 5% total between their spread and BTC fees.

I've had good experiences with BetWhale on Bitcoin withdrawals, but this Monero situation is sketchy. They should disable deposits too if withdrawals aren't working.

This is exactly why I stick to Bitcoin only. Too many brands pull this same move - accept deposits in altcoins then create withdrawal "issues" that force you into their preferred payout method with conversion fees.

Ignition and Wild Casino both did similar things with Litecoin last year. Started with "temporary maintenance" and ended up permanent. File complaints with their licensing if they don't fix this soon.

Check their terms - most crypto casinos have clauses about "operational requirements" for withdrawals. BetWhale's probably using that to justify the Monero block while still taking deposits.

That said, 21 days without communication is unacceptable. I'd document everything and escalate beyond first-level support. The forced conversion route they're offering might violate their own deposit/withdrawal matching policies too.

Had 1.2 XMR there but took the conversion hit last week - lost about $85 total between their spread and Bitcoin fees but didn't want to wait longer. Their BTC withdrawals processed in 18 hours so at least that part works.

Definitely file a complaint though. If enough players push back they might prioritize fixing the Monero wallet instead of just hoping everyone converts out.

Update: Escalated to their VIP team and got actual details. They're migrating to a new Monero wallet provider after "security concerns" with their previous one. Timeline is "2-3 more weeks" but they agreed to waive conversion fees for affected players.

Still frustrating but at least there's movement. Will update when withdrawals actually work again.
