Monero XMR privacy coin deposits blocked at most US crypto casinos except BetWhale

Been testing Monero deposits across different platforms lately. Most US-facing crypto casinos straight up block XMR - Ignition Casino, Cafe Casino, Wild Casino all reject it at the deposit screen.

BetWhale is the only one I've found that actually accepts Monero deposits with a 2 XMR minimum. Takes about 45 minutes for confirmation vs Bitcoin's 6 confirmations.

Anyone know why the privacy coin resistance? Is it compliance related or just the exchanges they use don't support it? The irony is crypto casinos marketing "anonymous gambling" but won't take the most private cryptocurrency.

It's definitely compliance. Most payment processors that crypto casinos use for their backend operations won't touch privacy coins. Too much regulatory heat from FinCEN and other agencies.

I stick with Bitcoin anyway - better liquidity when you want to cash out to fiat. Monero exchanges are limited and the spreads suck.

I tried depositing Zcash at Super Slots last month and got the same rejection. The customer service rep told me they only accept "transparent" cryptocurrencies for regulatory compliance.

Interesting that BetWhale takes it though. Might have to check them out - I prefer the privacy aspect even if it means fewer casino options.

The 2 XMR minimum at BetWhale is pretty steep though - that's like $320 at current prices. Most people aren't dropping that much on a single deposit.

Plus you're stuck if you want to withdraw in Monero later. Most places force you to withdraw in the same crypto you deposited, but if they don't support XMR withdrawals you're looking at converting to Bitcoin first.

The real issue is KYC compliance. Privacy coins make it impossible for casinos to track fund sources, which regulators require for anti-money laundering. Even if a casino wanted to accept Monero, their banking partners and licensing jurisdictions probably forbid it.

That's why you see Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum widely accepted but not Monero, Zcash, or Dash. The blockchain transparency is actually a feature for compliance teams.

Makes sense about the compliance angle. Still frustrating when you're trying to maintain some privacy in your gambling activity.

Has anyone tried using a Bitcoin mixer before depositing to regular casinos? Wondering if that triggers any flags or if they even check transaction history that deep.
