Ripple XRP withdrawal fees 12 XRP at Wild Casino when network cost is 0.00001 XRP

Just processed my first XRP withdrawal from Wild Casino and noticed they're charging 12 XRP as the withdrawal fee. For context, the actual Ripple network fee is 0.00001 XRP (literally one cent at current prices).

That's a markup of 1,200,000% over the actual network cost. Even accounting for operational overhead, this seems excessive compared to other cryptos they support.

Anyone else noticed this with XRP withdrawals? I've been tracking crypto fees across platforms since 2018 and this stands out as one of the highest markups I've documented.

That's brutal. I stick to BTC for this exact reason - at least when they charge 0.0005 BTC, the actual network fee is closer to 0.0002 BTC during normal congestion. Still a markup but not insane.

XRP's whole selling point is cheap transfers. Charging 12 XRP defeats the purpose entirely. Have you tried reaching out to Wild Casino support about it?

I noticed similar issues at Cafe Casino with XRP - they were charging 8 XRP last month. Switched to using USDT on Tron network instead, which runs me about 1 USDT in fees there.

Seems like some casinos just set flat fees without considering the actual network costs. The smaller altcoins always get hit hardest with these arbitrary fee structures.

This is why I research withdrawal fees before depositing anywhere. BetOnline charges 2 XRP for XRP withdrawals - still a massive markup but way better than 12 XRP.

The real kicker is XRP settles in 3-5 seconds. You're paying premium fees for instant settlement that the casino probably doesn't even pass along in processing speed.

Pro tip: Check the withdrawal fees page before your first deposit. I learned this the hard way with Ethereum fees at another casino.

For XRP specifically, I've had good experiences with Ignition Casino - they charge 1 XRP which is still high but more reasonable. The 12 XRP at Wild Casino is definitely an outlier in my experience.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Mike's point about BetOnline charging 2 XRP is helpful - that's still a 200,000% markup but at least it's in the same ballpark as other crypto fees I've tracked.

I'll document this in my fee comparison spreadsheet. Wild Casino's 12 XRP fee basically makes XRP withdrawals uneconomical unless you're moving significant amounts.
