Slots.lv poker room closed permanently effective January 15th

Just got an email from Slots.lv that their poker room is permanently closed as of January 15th. They're directing poker players to their sister site Ignition Casino for poker games.

I've been playing their $1/$2 NLHE tables for about 18 months. Traffic was decent during peak hours - usually 3-4 tables running. The software wasn't amazing but withdrawals were always smooth.

Anyone else get this notification? Wondering if this signals broader changes coming to the Lynton Limited properties or if it's just poker-specific consolidation.

Yeah got the same email yesterday. Makes sense business-wise - Ignition Casino already has the bigger poker player base and better tournament schedule. Slots.lv poker was always the smaller room in their network.

I checked Ignition and they're running a transfer bonus for displaced Slots.lv poker players. 50% match up to $500 if you deposit within 30 days. Not terrible but I was hoping they'd just migrate our existing balances automatically.

This is actually good news for poker players. Ignition Casino has way more traffic - their $1/$2 tables run 24/7 and weekend tournaments regularly hit $50K+ guarantees. Slots.lv poker felt dead most weekday afternoons.

Already moved my bankroll over. The mobile app is better too. Only downside is slightly higher rake but with more players the games are softer.

Consolidation was inevitable. Running two separate poker rooms with overlapping player bases doesn't make financial sense. Ignition Casino gets all the marketing focus anyway.

For Bitcoin players this is actually an upgrade. Ignition processes crypto withdrawals faster than Slots.lv did - usually 12-24 hours vs 2-3 days. Plus their anonymous tables feature is solid for privacy-focused players.

Transferred my roll yesterday and already back to grinding.

The writing was on the wall when they stopped updating the Slots.lv poker tournament schedule last fall. Most of their regular players had already migrated to Ignition Casino anyway.

What bothers me is the short notice - only gave players 2 weeks to figure out their balances and pending bonuses. I had $75 in poker points that just vanished. At least send them as bonus funds to Ignition or something.

Update: Just spoke with customer service about my pending poker points. They're crediting equivalent bonus funds to new Ignition Casino accounts if you contact them within 60 days. Have to provide your old Slots.lv username and they'll verify the points balance.

Not ideal but better than losing them completely. The rep mentioned this closure affects about 800 active poker players total - pretty small compared to their slots customer base.
