Stellar XLM withdrawal fees 5 XLM at Cafe Casino when network cost is 0.00001 XLM

Just checked Cafe Casino's withdrawal page and they're charging 5 XLM for Stellar withdrawals. The actual Stellar network fee is 0.00001 XLM (literally one cent). That's a 500,000x markup.

I've been tracking crypto fees across multiple brands since 2018, and this seems excessive even by bitcoin casino standards. Most other networks they charge 2-10x the actual cost, but this is insane.

Anyone successfully withdrawn XLM from Cafe Casino recently? Wondering if there's processing costs I'm missing or if this is just pure profit padding.

Yeah that's wild. I stick to BTC withdrawals for this exact reason - at least when they charge 0.0005 BTC you can see it's maybe 3-5x the actual network fee depending on mempool congestion.

5 XLM is highway robbery. Stellar was designed for cheap cross-border payments and they're basically negating the entire point of using it.

I tried withdrawing 47 XLM from Cafe Casino last month. The 5 XLM fee meant I only got 42 XLM, which was annoying since my original deposit was 50 XLM.

With fees that high, you need to win big enough to make the withdrawal worthwhile. Ended up switching to Wild Casino for XLM transactions - they charge 0.5 XLM which is still high but at least reasonable.

The fee structure makes no sense for smaller withdrawals. If you're cashing out 20-30 XLM from a decent session, losing 5 XLM to fees is brutal.

Most bitcoin casinos seem to set flat withdrawal fees without considering the actual network costs. They probably figure most players won't do the math on what the real Stellar transaction cost should be.

This is why I always check withdrawal fees before depositing with any altcoin. Some casinos are reasonable, others treat it like an ATM surcharge.

For Stellar specifically, I've had better luck with Super Slots (0.1 XLM fee) and BetWhale (0.2 XLM). Still overpriced compared to network cost but at least not completely ridiculous like 5 XLM.

Thanks for the real-world data points. Sounds like Cafe Casino is definitely on the high end for XLM fees. Wild Casino at 0.5 XLM is still 50,000x the network cost but at least manageable.

Going to update my fee tracking spreadsheet and probably skip Cafe Casino for Stellar transactions. The 5 XLM fee basically makes it unusable for anything under 100 XLM withdrawals.
