USDC deposits showing instant settlement but Ignition Casino requiring 10 confirmations anyway

Been tracking USDC deposits across multiple sites and noticed something odd with Ignition Casino. USDC transactions on Ethereum settle within 15 seconds and show as confirmed on Etherscan, but Ignition still requires 10 network confirmations before crediting the deposit.

This means waiting 2-3 minutes for what should be an instant stablecoin deposit. Other sites I've tested credit USDC after 3-6 confirmations max. The 0.17 USDC network fee is reasonable, but the confirmation wait seems excessive for a stablecoin.

Anyone else experiencing this delay? Is there a technical reason Ignition needs 10 confirmations for USDC specifically?

I stick to BTC for deposits but noticed similar confirmation delays when I tried USDT there last month. Took about 4 minutes total even though the transaction was visible immediately.

Might be their risk management being extra cautious with stablecoins? I know some sites had issues with Tether depegging events causing chargebacks or something.

BetOnline only requires 3 confirmations for USDC deposits and I get credited in under a minute usually. Same with Super Slots - they do 6 confirmations but that's still faster than Ignition's 10.

The confirmation requirement seems arbitrary since USDC is backed by actual USD reserves. Not like they're worried about a 51% attack on Ethereum affecting a regulated stablecoin.

Could be related to their payment processor requirements rather than Ignition's choice. Some third-party crypto processors have blanket confirmation policies that don't account for stablecoin differences.

I've seen this at traditional exchanges too - they treat all ERC-20 tokens the same regardless of backing or stability.

The wait is annoying but at least USDC deposits don't have the volatility risk during confirmation time like BTC or ETH. I've had Bitcoin drop $500 between sending and crediting before.

Still prefer sites that recognize stablecoins should have lower confirmation requirements though.

Our confirmation requirements are set by our payment processing partner for security compliance. We understand the frustration with USDC delays and are reviewing our confirmation policies for stablecoins specifically.

In the meantime, Bitcoin deposits typically process faster due to different confirmation thresholds. We'll update our crypto deposit page when any changes are implemented.
