Tether USDT withdrawal fees 25 USDT at Ignition when TRC-20 network cost is 1 USDT

Just checked my Ignition withdrawal options and they're charging 25 USDT for Tether withdrawals. I've been tracking TRC-20 network fees for months and the actual cost is around 1-2 USDT max right now.

That's a 2400% markup on what the Tron network actually charges. I get that casinos need to cover operational costs, but this seems excessive compared to what I'm seeing at other bitcoin casinos.

Anyone know if Ignition uses ERC-20 instead of TRC-20 for USDT? That would explain higher fees since Ethereum gas is more expensive, but their withdrawal page doesn't specify which network.

Been using Ignition for 2 years and yeah, their USDT fees are brutal. I switched to BTC withdrawals exclusively because of this. Even with Bitcoin fees around 15-20 sats/vB, their 0.0005 BTC withdrawal fee works out cheaper than that 25 USDT hit.

Pretty sure they use ERC-20 for USDT which explains the higher cost, but they should really offer TRC-20 as an option. BetOnline gives you both networks to choose from.

I asked Ignition support about this last month. They confirmed they only process USDT on Ethereum mainnet, not Tron. So you're paying actual ETH gas fees plus their processing margin.

If you want cheaper USDT withdrawals, Wild Casino and Super Slots both offer TRC-20 USDT with fees around 5-8 USDT. Still marked up but way more reasonable than Ignition's 25 USDT.

This is exactly why I stick to Bitcoin for everything. USDT fees are all over the place depending on which network the casino uses. Ignition's BTC withdrawal fee is 0.0005 BTC which comes out to about $22-25 depending on price, so it's actually competitive with their USDT fee.

The real problem is casinos not being transparent about which network they use. Should be clearly labeled on the withdrawal page.

Had the same shock when I tried to withdraw 150 USDT from Ignition last week. That 25 USDT fee meant I was only getting 125 USDT to my wallet - basically a 16.7% hit just for withdrawing.

Ended up converting to Bitcoin first, then withdrew. Lost a bit on the conversion spread but still came out ahead versus paying that massive USDT fee. Really wish they'd add TRC-20 support.

Thanks for bringing this up. Our USDT withdrawals currently process on the Ethereum network, which does result in higher fees due to gas costs and network congestion.

We're actively evaluating adding TRC-20 USDT support to offer our players a lower-cost option. In the meantime, Bitcoin withdrawals often provide better value for larger amounts. Our fee structure covers network costs plus secure processing infrastructure.
